Global Entry

August 4, 2015 by Laurie Deppa 7 Comments

I travel out of the country a couple of times a year and hate all the lines at security and customs.  My husband is registered with global entry so I thought why not give it a try.  I easily found information about the Global Entry program on the Customs & Border Patrol website.

With global entry people are expedited through TSA and through customs at special kiosks.

I registered as a user on the GEOS site and completed the application.  The fee is $100 and is good for 5 years.  After completion and payment the sited stated that I should check back on the status of my application. Next step is to go to BWI.

Anyone have experience with global entry? Thoughts? I figure it comes out to $20 a year and will be worth it traveling with a 4-year old.  Oh and kids under 12 don’t have to register and can go through with an adult!
