As some of you may know I travel often with my 5-year old. She has been to 21 countries and is quite the traveler. When she was 10-months old my husband deployed for 4 months to Romania. Instead of staying home lonely, I packed her up (two suitcases, car seat, stroller and baby) and headed to Europe for a month. We hit 6 countries and never looked back. Since then I haven’t stopped traveling because of her – I travel for her and with her.
It’s often difficult at times and we have our share of meltdowns – but I don’t let it get me down. I block time for free play, find playgrounds whenever possible and ensure she gets enough rest.
I have chosen to homeschool her – her education will be the world. She will never been a racist or close-minded. She will be a citizen of the world.
There are amazing airfares to be had recently. So next time you are planning a vacation think outside the box. Think about what you want to teach your child. You can be very creative and have amazing life experiences that your children will never forget.
Won’t you join me on an adventure?
